Structural Health Monitoring System of LUKOIL Volgograd Oil Depot Tanks

Design of a structural health monitoring system of LUKOIL’s tanks at the Volgograd Oil Depot

  • Project description:

    Development of detailed documentation as part of the “Structural Health Monitoring System (SHMS)” section of the following facility: the RVS-111 KU OiHTF tank monitoring information system.

    The monitoring covers a 10,000 m³ tank, which was commissioned in 1969 and is subject to the highest loads and the greatest changes in condition during operation.

    To monitor the stress-strain state of the structure, the following parameters were selected: displacements of control points at the foundations of buildings and structures. The monitoring system consists of two levels:

    • first level – monitoring and measuring equipment installed at the sites;
    • second level – devices for collecting and transmitting information (local monitoring data collection stations).
  • Project objectives:

    Development of detailed documentation. Structural health monitoring system.

  • Implementation period: 2024 year
