Automated Traffic Control System
KSM.Flow is an Automated Traffic Control System for the main highways combining advanced developments in the field of traffic management systems and information as well as communication services. The hardware and software package is designed to control traffic at different levels. The system constantly adapts to the road situation responding to changes in traffic intensity, traffic flows, emergency situations, road traffic accidents, etc.
The implementation of Automated Traffic Control System is of great importance for improving the quality and safety of road traffic. The automated system determines the density of traffic flow and aids to make decisions about changing the speed and timing of switching traffic lights, thereby managing traffic flow and reducing traffic jams. Electronic board and information systems warn drivers about accidents, traffic lane changes and other dangerous situations, which can significantly reduce the time spent on the road.
The main screen of the system shows a map of the controlled section of the road with the marked objects of the system: placards, video cameras, road signs, exits, supports, etc. All data, including weather data, is updated here in real time.
KSM.Flow can interact with other intelligent transport systems (ITS) to exchange information about traffic flow parameters, meteorological conditions, or other information.
The main functions of the software:
- Informing road users by displaying text information and/or graphic images understandable to road users on Dynamic Information Boards (DIT) and traffic flow management by displaying graphic images of traffic signs on Variable Information Signs (VDI).
- Management of road equipment: traffic lights, security alarms, lifting barriers, etc.
- Collecting information from vehicle detectors to determine the number and type of vehicles that have passed along a road section.
- Collecting data on meteorological conditions from Automatic Road Weather Stations (ADMS) to inform road users about dangerous meteorological conditions.

Cost: The software is transferred on the basis of a non-exclusive license, the cost is determined upon request as a result of an audit of the monitoring facility.
