Russian energy production is one of the basic industries that provides the country with energy resources, so any emergency situation will have a negative impact on the entire industry. To prevent such situations, it is necessary to implement Structural Health Monitoring Systems that monitor, record and transmit data on technical characteristics (deformations, inclination angles, vibrations, soil temperature subject to the implementation of a geotechnical monitoring system) and the state of engineering structures as well as enable to prevent the occurrence of large-scale emergency situations.
The Scientific and Technical Centre offers modern solutions for monitoring energy industry facilities. We work with both large companies in the fuel and energy industry, as well as small enterprises and government agencies dealing with the regulation and development of this industry.
Fuel and energy complex (FEC) is one of the basic and fundamental industries of Russia. Production, extraction, processing, and distribution of various types of energy is the main practical purpose of this industrial sector. The growth in energy consumption was 1.67% according to statistical information at the end of 2023, beginning of 2024. The energy sector must satisfy all the needs of potential consumers, which means it is the highest priority for the country and its further growth is inevitable.
All these enterprises are critical and vulnerable from the standpoint of emergency situations. Electricity production on an industrial scale requires a certain level of safety. In this regard, special attention should be paid to inspection control and monitoring of the technical condition of production facilities as well as natural factors to prevent emergencies and man-made accidents.
Risk analysis, calculation of threshold values for leakage of energy resources, threats from external and internal factors in the operating conditions of the plant are just a small list of researches that need to be fulfilled on a regular basis. Obviously, such activities cannot be performed correctly solely by maintenance personnel.
The involvement of automated control tools, specialized software and hardware systems, as well as structural health monitoring systems is required for comprehensive control and analysis of the safety level of enterprises in the energy sector.
Fuel and energy complex facilities for which products can be developed
Our specialists are engaged in creating ready-made software and hardware solutions for almost all energy industry facilities:
1. Thermal power plants. Electricity is generated through the processing and combustion of solid and liquid fuels (coal, petroleum products, fuel oil, and natural gas). The risk of an emergency at modern complexes of this type is small: control of technological processes is fulfilled practically little to no he participation of personnel using automated systems as well as software and hardware.
